Chippewa County will be providing residents with a special clean up to dispose of their household hazardous wastes, appliances, electronics, fluorescent bulbs, and scrap metal in an environmentally safe manner. Improper disposal of these products can cause fires and injuries to people and animals as well as groundwater contamination.
Take a look in your garage, kitchen, basement, or workshop. Some of the household products you find here may require special consideration in their use, storage, and disposal. Improper disposal of these products can cause fires, injuries to people and animals, and groundwater contamination. Chippewa County is making it easy for residents to get rid of household hazardous waste. Please consult the document below for itemized lists on what to bring and what NOT to bring.

Latex paint, sharps, tires, and furniture will not be accepted at the collections.
Hazardous waste will be accepted again for FREE from ALL Chippewa County residents on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the Northern Wisconsin State Fairgrounds!
