2018 Northern Wisconsin State Fair Fairest of the Fair Takes Second Runner-Up at the 2019 Wisconsin Association of Fairs Annual Convention
The Northern Wisconsin State Fair (July 10-14, 2019) is thrilled to announce Molly McIlquham, 2018 Northern Wisconsin State Fair Fairest of the Fair, took second runner-up at the 2019 Wisconsin Association of Fairs Annual Convention.
The annual event was held January 6-9 at the Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells with more than 1,000 Fair and Associate Members in attendance. The convention provides fair representatives from all over the state to network, collaborate, and develop their skills. As part of the convention, the Wisconsin Fairest of the Fair Competition takes place over the course of three days. Contestants compete through various stages including: individual and group interviews, a county basket auction, self-introductions, as well as preliminary and final on-stage events.
Vying for the title of the 53rd Fairest of the Fair title were 41 Fairest of the Fair representatives from across the state. Out of those 41 competing, Molly took home the title of second runner-up, representing her community and the Northern Wisconsin State Fair with poise, confidence, integrity, and professionalism, all while displaying her passion for agriculture throughout the competition.
“We are very proud of our 2018 fair ambassador, Molly McIlquham, for her achievements at the State Fairest competition,” Rusty Volk, Executive Director of the Northern Wisconsin State Fair Association stated. “Being selected as 2nd runner up is a tribute to the experiences she received from her family, 4-H programs, and school programs supporting agriculture.”
Thank you Molly for all of your continued hard work and the amazing impact you had on the 2018 Northern Wisconsin State Fair!
