A native of Virginia, MN and a UW-River Falls graduate, Brian has been living in the Chippewa Valley for over 30 years, working for (and representing) a variety of multi-media organizations spanning across the Leader-Telegram, WEAU-TV 13, the Chippewa Herald, Dunn County News, Tradin’ Post Buyer’s Guide (….remember that one, folks!?), and left Volume One magazine to become the Executive Director, succeeding Rusty Volk, who’s been the NWSF’s Executive Director since September of 2008, and who will be retiring at the end of 2025.
Blessed with an entrepreneurial spirit, Brian’s professional roles have included advertising, event & sponsorship partnerships (sales), and middle & upper-leadership positions.
A proud father of 2 adult children, Brian & his wife of over 20 years thoroughly enjoy exploring the many waterways our region has to offer, with Lake Wissota, Lake Chetek, and the Chippewa River being personal favorites! If you see Brian out ‘ n about, certainly say, “HI!, he’s always up for a spirited conversation. You’ll quickly discover he treats his business partners and co-workers just like friends & family!
